Anyone setting eggs starting July 15 -July 22?

That is exactly how mine laid for a few hours. I really did not think he was going to make it after I helped but to my surprise he did get up and dried off in no time. Infact, I just checked on them all and he was chasing another chick that had a wood chip in it's beak.

Congrats on your hatchers! so sorry about the loss :(

I was too late. Pulled him out from under Summer and there was zero progress from 3 hrs ago. Egg smelled strange to. Not quite bad, but off. Chick had died. I decided to try and figure out what went wrong so I opened the egg. The chick was fully formed but long gone. Didn't look like it had internally pipped, went straight to an external pip and ran out of steam. It also had a deformity on one foot; a second toe growing out of another toe. So there may have been other issues too. Poor guy.

I'm sorry. 6/8 is pretty good, but no one likes to lose a chick that late in the game.

As for mine, still nothing with the other 2!!
I'm frustrated nervous and sad!

It's day 21, something should be happening! I don't know what I did wrong with those 2! I candled them on day 16, and they were all moving around fine!

Well, here's a pic of the little one, sage....she's taking a long time to dry up!

She is cute. :) You know what will probably happen? You will stress and stress and then fall asleep on the couch. Then when you get up in the morning you will find two or three beaky little faces staring at you. :)

6 of my silkies!

2 Lavendar , 2 Partridge, 1 Buff and not sure, splash perhaps...a few dark spots on whitish/pale yellow!
ETA more pics soon!

I left all eggs on their sides, they did get knocked around. it seems the only eggs i had problems with were the ones that i set a day or two after the rest.
