Anyone setting eggs tomorrow (13th March, EDD Apr 3rd)

I think its helpful to open them if you're not squeamish. If I had several die on the same developmental stage I'd be suspicious something had happened then. Also by seeing the embryos at different stages you have a better idea of how it equates to what you see when candling. I just cracked the top, pulled it off and poured it into a bowl. My 4 didn't smell at all, but had only died a few days before.

I had a nightmare last night - I dreamt someone had moved the incubator to plug in a toaster and it was at 195 degrees and 95% humidity and I was freaking out because no-one would confess.

I have had a couple of stinky eggs in my 1st 2 batches. But since it was my 1st and 2nd hatch and I didnt candle all the time (and when I did, I didnt know what I was looking at), I left them after candling. (They didnt stink at that point). As time went on, they really smelled up the bator. Then I started smelling the eggs and I found which one it was. I had 2 oozing once too. They were smelly.
But I held my breath and opened them up.

I have 3 (out of 6) bantam cochins pipping right now!!!

(in a secong incubator).
Anyone remember what humidity for duck eggs? I think temperatures the same but humidity higher - ?

So I set my eggs on Friday the 12th in the morning. When should I stop turning and increase humidity? Next Tues or Wed? I am hoping on tues because I don't work that day and I can keep a close eye on the incubator.

Hubby thinks we should just pitch the bad egg with the blood ring, he doesn't what to explore.

Yes, pitch the blood ring...

As for the temperature hiccup, I really don't know but would guess you'll be ok. Better that than a night at 108 degrees...
Let us know how they are when you peek tonight.

My eggs are good, as far as I can tell anyways.

If when you try to post and it gives you any error, hit the refresh button in explorer (u know those two green arrows next to the address bar)
