Hope all goes good and I can't wait to see pictures. But I'm not taking my computer a vacation with me this weekend so I'll have to look when I get home.

I gotta tell someone........... Long story short, I got my first silkie egg today well since my silkie went broody that is.....
Hopefully she decides after she lays her batch to go broody again, this time she is sitting on those eggs if it's the last thing I do

I still have one that hasn't laid yet??

Hmmm... How could I miss this?
I also set my eggs on March 13 and EDD is April 3.
I set 14 french black copper marans eggs, they are from two different sellers (6+8).
It is my first hatching too!
I set 21 bantam salmon/blue salmon faverolles eggs on March 11, EDD is April 1, and then set those 14 marans eggs on March 13.
15 out of 21 faverolles are growing now.
Let's wait and see!

Oooo...Salmon Favorelles...they were on my short list to try this time but I decided to see how this attempt went first.
Sooo looking forward to seeing all these little cuties. Looks like we're all doing different breeds so will be lovely

These arent the 4/3 hatchlings, but here are some pics of my newest additions.

bantam cochins, 3/24/10. The fluffiest 1 in pic is the smallest. Pipped then didnt do anything all day but was the 1st 1 out.

Now 3.

We ended up with 4 (I had to help 1 completely out, but it survived!)
Then, the next afternoon, my youngest dd yells "There's another chick"!! We didnt even know it had pipped!!

Here they are with my other bantam cochin that hatched a couple days before (3/19).

Then, yesterday morning, my silkies came in (along with 10 packing peanuts included). They are mixed in with our TSC mystery chicks. [Does anyone know what the older mystery chicks might be? For that matter, what breed do the males look like? The ones with the yellow on their heads.]

Just put my EDD 3/30 eggs on lockdown today!! 4 out of 5 developed!!!

Awww...just gorgeous.
I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination but my barred rocks were black with yellow/white dots on their heads like that, so its a possibility.
