Thanks Boyd. Are you saying that he also had the double vision? BTW...Love your new avatar!
The closest dr I have found in Michigan that specializes in Lymes Disease is clear over near Lapeer, which is 4oo miles from me
. So I guess I guess I have no choice but to either call my family doctor or my rhuematologist.... first thing Monday morning. I am leaning towards calling my rhuematologist.

Yeah, double vision, dizzyness etc. The joint pain he wrote off as getting old(er) since my stepdad is a bit older than my mom. I guess he'll be in the construction field till he can't do it anymore
I think it took 2 or 3 blood tests to confirm it, but thats what they ended up with. I don't remember treatment.. but I think it was some kind of antibiotics?
Well I spoke with the nurse at my arthritis doctors yesterday.Told her my thoughts about getting checked for lyme disease. She asked me if I had been out hiking in the rocky mountains. Basically she was no help and I realized after I hung up that she was probably thinking I was talking about Rocky Mtn spotted fever.
So I talked with the nurse at my family doctors today and she relayed the info to him. She called me back later and he said that he was unaware that the vision problem had not been resolved. Now he wants me to see a neurologist.

Yeah, she was referring to a different tick.
You get lyme disease from DEER ticks. As my specialist told me even years later...where there is deer, there are deer ticks. It doesn't matter what state you live in.
Here's some links, in case you get that response again. I did that get that response from some doctors/nurses years ago, and had to educate myself.
There's a bunch of links at the bottom with some additional info. Including one for our State of MI, and tick borne illnesses. Rocky mountion spotted fever was on there. LOL
