Hi guys & gals...........I just read this in Mandarin & Wood, a group I belong to that raises these ducks... Some on this site stated , "that they have had much better luck with shipping eggs since they stopped putting the (hatching eggs) sticker on their boxes)"
Several noted that the buyers stated that , " even the boxes themselves were in better shape". Why would the boxes be in better shape? Makes you wonder don't it!!!!!
Just thought this was interesting.........................................Jeff

That is interesting

I don't mark my boxes 'hatching eggs' or 'egg' anything --- just 'FRAGILE' and 'PERISHABLE'
and 'PLEASE HANDLE WITH CARE'.
They seem to get where they're going in hatchable condition, for the most part.

Happy Holidays!

I've only marked one box with stickers and the others I've sent in a plain priority box with nothing on it to say what's inside. So it might be better in a plain box that way it doesn't single the box out for the postal gorilla's to toss it around more!

Yup, I have much better success when I don't put anything about eggs on the box. I just mark them Fragile and handle with care as well. It has been working great for my shipments.

So...

My conclusions are:

1-The eggs know their is a sticker on the box and refuse to hatch

or

2-Their is someone in the Postal Service who is intentionally shaking or damaging
these boxes.

Obviously #2. I would think that this is an isolated thing. Probably someone
at their local post office who doesn't like them.

Maybe it's #3, Curiosity. "Eggs?"(shaking the box to see). I think this is most likely.

Our local Post Office is awesome but ignorant(of chickens). When we had live chicks shipped
in they were surprised.

Our postmistress said not to even mark anything as fragile as it is more likely to get thrown or stomped on :|

I;ll have to watch mine I just got two different groups one marked eggs one marked Fragile and see if there is a difference ...

the last box i got from the one seller was smashed but the box was intact was super odd so they sent me more . The other i have hatched from before and comes further so it will be interesting
