Anyone up for a Hatchalong?

Pics
I set three more eggs today.. have four more that were SUPPOSED to be here yesterday.. but seems the postal service is STILL holding them hostage..

with any luck they will be here tomorrow...

went round and round with the guy at the front desk at the post office.. he informed me they have better things to do than sort mail... uhm... isn't sorting mail one of the things we pay them to do when we ship something and pay for postage?.. i mean otherwise how would they ever get to their destinations if they weren't sorted??? So I had to wait for the mailman to get here.. he didn't understand why they (the guys at the front desk) didn't just give me the boxes since he had them set aside for me to pick up...

Sorry to read this. How long after they were due to hatch did you decide to break them open?

I didn't open them until about day 40. I wanted to be good and sure that nothing was going on inside them. I would hate to crack open a live egg.

After seeing no rocking and hearing no sound inside the eggs I decided that I needed to check the membrane on them. When I pulled away the shell on both of them the membrane was punctured accidentally and i could tell they were no good.

I'd be scared to open one at day 40, so close to hatching.

My eggs got here Thursday just in time for a big snow storm which dumped 6" on us.

I'm turning the eggs every 3 hours, is this about right? Been thinking of turning them every hour, the three hours between turnings get pretty long after awhile.

i have them set for :

8:00 AM
11:15 AM
2:30 PM
5:45 PM
9:00 PM

I don't turn the eggs during the night

well.. 4 more eggs FINALLY got here (thank you postal service for taking them on the scenic route... grr)

so I have 6 in the Reptipro.. and now 7 more in the LG.. (13 total so far)

the last 2 are due here sometime next week... dunno if I will try to squeeze them into the LG.. I like having heat sinks in there... so I'll probably put the them in one of my Brinsea eco 20's after all

I have all 10 of mine in my reptipro but 4 of them are kinda small
but the parents are all first year layers .

I turn my eggs every 8 hours which equals 3x a day

It seems my humidity is too high.

Do you have a pic of yours in your reptipro?.. I would love to see it
by the way... there is a Reptipro hatch thread going on in the hatching section of the forum https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/616987/reptipro-5000-hatch-a-long
