Hey Yinepu, the emu chicks I bought from John here in Auburn are HUGE! One of them towers over the male I hatched a few days later. Make that brooder big! Here is Chicka next to Elvis.

It is 5 feet wide by 12 feet long. It is a dog kennel and a portable pet fence hooked together for length. We already had both of them and weren't using them so it worked out great. WE had to move the Hummer out of the garage but run fits in there perfectly. There is a 75 watt heat lamp at one end because we open the garage door during the day and they stand there and look out. The other end has a hanging Sweeter Heater and a 50 watt heat lamp that we just turn on at night.
Wow! They are huge. Until I read that this pen was 5' wide and 12' long...I couldn't really tell how big these guys are....and how fast they got that big.
Mom's making me sell mine if they hatch :/
Will anyone in the south Ga/North FL/East AL area want to buy possibly 2 chicks?
I have 1 due around Valentines and the other is a week later. They both have started rolling when I turn them, so I'm hoping that means there are chicks growing inside. The first is from eBay and the second is from Pidgey.
i noticed the first rolling about 10 days ago, and the second a few days ago. I think that would be around Day 30-33, if I counted right.
Day 45 for the first egg is Feb 11
Day 45 for the second is Feb 21
