Doodlebug started laying again..... Found two eggs hidden in a different nest spot. I wonder what I have to do to get a freaken girl........

Anyone what a sure thing to get a boy..... Get eggs from me, lol

lol.. I'll keep that in mind if I end up with all girls!

are you going to put any of these in an incubator?.. I read something about how the incubation temperature can affect whether you have males or females .. they said they are more like crocodiles where the temperature controls the sex..
i haven't tried it... so not sure how well it works

#6 p2- 586 g 578 g 566 g 554 g 5.46%
#7 p2- 590 g 582 g 568 g 558 g 5.42%
#8 p2- 620 g 610 g 598 g 584 g 5.80%
#9 p1- 486 g 480 g 470 g 464 g 4.58%

none stink.. just smell kind of emu-ish

seven of my eggs just smell like warm bird rear, # 4 and 5 are smelly but not as bad as #3 was
will try to test them tmoro, might have some more empty emu egg deco.

I did realize I wouldn't hatch them all but you always hope you do.

You have to sniff the big end because the smell colllects in the aircell making the smell stronger
I couldn't even smell the rotten egg on the small end. the big end made me gag.

yeah I know... but both ends smelled the same... maybe it's too early or maybe I just have a few infertiles.. but with all 15 being shipped I can't believe for a second that I will end up with a 100% hatch rate!


so there has to be a few duds in there somewhere.. lol
