darn i never saw this response. ok heres my weights so far:
egg #1:
2-6 608g
2-7 605g
2-8 603g
2-9 601g
egg#2
2-6 500g
2-7 497g
2-8 496g
2-9 494g
egg#3
2-6 665g
2-7 662g
2-8 661g
2-9 659g
egg#4
2-6 514g
2-7 511g
2-8 510g
2-9 508g
so do i need to ad water to my bator? seems like the weights on 2-8 (yesterday) were good cause they only lost 1 gram. now today they were down 2 again.. prob too much right? yikes i need to adjust fast..
you're shooting for 15% weight loss over 50 days +/- 1.2%
so for egg #1 you need a loss of 1.824% per day ..12.768 grams per week (this is assuming you are incubating at 97.5 degrees, 15% weight loss.. higher or lower temperatures will change the day 50 due date and change your projected weight loss accordingly)
egg #1:
2-6 608g
2-7 605g (should be: 606.176)
2-8 603g (604.352)
2-9 601g (602.528)
at 20% loss you would be in the danger zone and your numbers would look like this :
608
605.568
603.136
600.704
so egg 1 needs a higher humidity
egg#2 needs to lose 75 grams through the 50 day incubation period.. 1.5 grams per day.. 10.5 per week
2-6 500g
2-7 497g (498.5)
2-8 496g (497)
2-9 494g (495.5)
at 20% loss you would be in the danger zone and your numbers would look like this :
500
498
496
494
so egg 2 also needs higher humidity
egg#3 needs to lose 99.75 grams 1.995 grams per day 13.965 grams a week
2-6 665g
2-7 662g (663.005)
2-8 661g (661.01)
2-9 659g (659.015)
at 20% loss you would be in the danger zone and your numbers would look like this :
665
662.34
659.68
657.02
so egg 3 looks to be on track now even though the loss was a bit too high on the second day
egg#4 needs to lose 77.1 grams .. 1.542 grams per day .. 10.794 grams a week
2-6 514g
2-7 511g (512.458)
2-8 510g (510.916)
2-9 508g (509.374)
at 20% loss you would be in the danger zone and your numbers would look like this:
514
511.944
509.888
507.832
egg 4 is borderline.. could use a little more moisture but isn't as bad as the first 2
hope this helps and I think my math is correct!
I don't remember what kind of incubator you are using.. but it could be as simple as rotating the positions of the eggs (in relationship to the fan) once a day as well as adding a bit of water to raise your humidity
