Anyone up for a Hatchalong?

Pics
I wouldn't help it, it looks like its doing really well on its own & you said its vocalizing good so I'd just watch to see what happens next. I wouldn't worry unless is bleeding bright red blood like prefusely...you seem surprised egg B is hatching, was it not wiggling before? Congrats (=

Aw well that was a nice surprise for you! Has egg A pipped at all? If its the big mover it'll probably hatch not long after B...that's funny because egg B is my most active mover of 4 eggs. I think it might be the shape of his egg too, it's very football shaped so maybe it just pivots easier than the regular egg shaped ones but I've grown really attached to my egg B...I want them all to hatch of course though! I was pretty shocked my egg C wasn't the stinker since it averages 9g lost a week while my other 4 average 14-15g lost a week, I wonder why it loses so much less than the rest? It's on the top shelf & away from the fan & my egg D lost the textbook/perfect amount of weight every week then ended up being a dud...ugh!

Kathy...don't DO anything...just watch! LOL..I know its very hard, but it'll make it..just let it happen on it's own..the chick will be healthy and stronger if it gets out on it's own.

Just one thing for everyone that is currently hatching right now....DO NOT ASSIST! A weak chick would not get assistance in the wild, and if they don't hatch, it was meant to be....either too weak of a chick or something wrong. If we assist we are bringing in a chick that is weaker and not as healthy and promoting those genes on to the next set of eggs......THe last thing we need is a weaker and weaker offspring from chicks that have been assisted out of shell. I know it sounds harsh and we want to help our chicks in every possibly way, but assisting them out is doing a favor to no one, especially later hatches where that bird may be producing inferior eggs.

So please, just let them hatch on their own, or let nature takes it course. :)

Dan
