Anyone use a metal bunkbed?

Do you put it on the drill bit or where you are drilling.

More where you are drilling, but on tip of drill too.

Self tapping metal screws are mostly made for sheet metal applications, might not work on the heavier metal you are working with, so pilot holes are a must. You'll have to play around with drill and screw sizes to see what work for you.

You might find using tekscrews easier. They have a drill shaped end then threaded for the rest of the screw. Just drill them straight in. Looking good though.
