Anyone use a Tubtrug for a pool?

I looked up kiddie wading pools and they were $50+, so I figured that this might be cheaper. I will definitely look at concrete mixing tubs. I'm only going to have two ducks (so far!) so I don't need a ton of pool space. I envision moving the water around a bit depending upon if I am near the patio, near the garden, etc, so I can keep an eye out for them while I am gardening or working in the backyard. Maybe I'm too idyllic but I thought having a roving/moveable water source would be good in addition to the one in their run.

Here is a pic of a concrete mixing container I got at Menards (like a Home Depot or Lowes). You can see that two Muscovies fit fine for playing and bathing, but not big enough for swimming. It has a rounded top edge that they climb over without any problems. Young, smaller ducks might need some sort of step to get in and out (when these girls were young I used the bottom of an old Rubbermaid gift wrap container that was shallower). It is sturdy and easy to dump and refill and available year around. Just ask someone in the store to show you the concrete mixing container/tubs. Well worth the 3.99 I paid for it.

I bought a small tubtrug from Biglots for $1 in the sale. They out grew it within 2 weeks

Plus beacuse it has slanted sides I found they could all go to 1 side and turn the thing over by themselves. One it was outgrown as a pool, it turned into a carry basket to get them into the tub

Those pictures say it all......... Thanks for a laugh so early in the morning!!!

To the OP - I get the smaller hard plastic wading pools at Dollar General for $7. They would be big enough for two ducks to swim in and yet are small enough to dump the water out to clean or move them around. The local store here only has them in the spring/early summer. A farm store usually has a selection of the black rubber pans of a large variety of sizes and shapes. They last forever and are more economical than the one in the link.

I have used the concrete mixing tubs for ducklings; then on to small kiddie pool; larger kiddie pool; finally I found several solid molded pools with plug in bottom. These all work great! I found the kiddie pools at WalMart were good enough, until I became a duck hoarder and needed more and bigger. Did I mention I have a trash pump that fills them and drains them? Also, they are all visible from my computer window. If it holds water and you can empty it often, anything works! My Call Ducks aren't fussy.

Ok, love the pictures!
Need to find our nearest Walmart. We live in an urban area but believe it or not, don't have any of those large stores around. The nearest store is a Target but it NEVER has anything we want. I will wait a bit until Spring comes so that they have it in stock.
