I've been getting into the mood to do something creative lately. Probably cause of it getting colder and the winters where I am are long and cold. I thought of using paper mache since it is cheap but I know it still has the paper look. I did come across someone using paper clay which was the first time I've heard of it to sand to give it a nice smooth look on the outside of paper mache. I was wondering if it is good for clay sculptures? I'd love to get doing sculptures but clay is so expensive. I didn't know if it would be something that would be good for a beginner and if you can put detail into it like regular sculpture clay. I'd love to do a dinosaur or a chicken sculpture.
