I just got mine today. My digital thermometer has been saying it is 100 degrees and right now the egg-o-meter is saying it is 104!

Has the egg-o-meter helped your hatches?

I was told that they were bad thermometers. I did a little research before I bought my thermometer, and I decided on the incubator warehouse thermometer, the regular one. I don't remember where I was told, but I think it may have been here, that someone said the Egg-O-Meter was crud.

The thermometer that I have is very sensitive to temperature changes, and it works great for me.

Last hatch I used an egg o meter and I had 23 chicks hatch out of a total of 33 that made it to lockdown. This is pretty good for me. If you don't want to use the egg o meter. Try a water wiggler w/ a digital thermometer that has a probe on the end of it to stick the probe inside the water wiggler. I used one of these for years and it worked great for me. My water wigglers dried out and I couldn't find any at the dollar stores this year and thus why I broke down and bought the egg o meter. If you can't find a water wiggler at a dollarstore or walmart someone had instructions on here on how to make a homemade one.
