Anyone use these?

No, but I use 2 small kiddie pools doubled up or a large kiddie pool with a drain we installed.

Ducks jump into the pool to poop, not even joking. Ducks also love to stick their bills in mud and feed and put it into the water.
They are dirty little piggies and you'll need to be able to dump and rinse the pools.
Geese are a little cleaner but they still get mud into the pools from their feet. My geese don't poop in the pool. They wait until they stand on the sidewalk outside our house door to do that.;)

I’ve never had geese before. We get our first goslings in a few weeks. We have had ducks but have always used kiddie pools. Yes, they are messy little stinkers but we love them. Glad to hear geese may be cleaner.

My goal is to use there pool water to water our garden. Hence the reason for the drain. The pond will also be sunk into the gravel so it won’t be sitting so high up. Due to sinking the pond into the gravel (now possibly ground) my husband said we should use a sub pump to drain it. I’m trying to find out the best way or at least the pros and cons to using both
