Anyone used Meyer's Hatchery?

Thanks so much to all of you for your comments. Y'all are really reinforcing my choice. (and I really appreciate seeing what the heating pad looks like...couldn't imagine but it must be like those chemical hand warmer things you squeeze inside your gloves) I am determined not to order anything until I have a coop built so I need to get at it!

I ordered 25 day old chicks from them. They sent me 26. I did not lose any of them. I have a wonderful flock. I ordered straight run and I ended up with 11 roos 15 hens.

They are great. And I've used that port-a-potty too.

I ordered and received my rainbow pack of 25 day old mixed chicks. They came very healthy and the customer service was very nice. Would give them my business again any time!

They are so cute! are you letting her raise them or are you going to?

She is. They're 2 weeks old now, a little less pets than the hatchery chicks were but they have grown up a lot more chicken than their parents. At this point they will not eat from my hand but she does---always has. She takes it from me and gives it to them.

Unless I am looking for a brand new breed or some such thing, no more brooders for me---only the feathered clucking kind

Billfields, I am in love with your hen! She looks like flower!! She could be on a feed bag for advertising

Thanks. I thik sh eis pretty too. Her name is Eliza. She's a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte from Meyer. Great Momma hen, she takes great care of her chicks but has never been fussy with me at all. The Daddy of all the chicks is an Americana (this year they are calling 'em Easter Eggers) also from Meyer. The little black chick from a Cuckoo Maran but I don't know about the other 4 (one more hatched after this picture). The could be assorted Wyandottes, Welsummers, Partridge Rock...but with their Dads THEY are all Easter Eggers
