can you post another pix that we can enlarge..It's really hard for me to see it..
 
Is this a design for a coop or a baby Chick storage?
Where are you keeping the chick you have now? you have now?
 
If this is a chick brooder, it looks great.

If this is a coop, I would lose the lamp. I am not a fan of electrified chicken coops due to the fire risk.

ProTip: draw on graph paper to get your scale correct. Wish I had done this....

How big? The size will determine materials needed. If it will be small, say 2' x 4', then you can use 2x2 lumber for frame construction. More details are needed to be able to draw up a blueprint and materials list.
 
How big should it be for 5-7 chicks??? And they will have a run to go in once they are older for running around (it will be connected with the older hen and roo's run so they can see each other but not attack each other...

Farmer Lew IS the coop building guru...whatever he says Id go with. You should check recent threads on his nice projects. FL You could have yourself a nice little business there!
