I recently got 8 new babies for my small flock and that are about 6-8 weeks old. ( they’re all pretty much within a week of each other ). I’m fairly certain that I got only one roo, which is what I was hoping for. I do want to send a picture of all of them tho, because I would love to hear feedback! ( I could totally be wrong
) the picture of the chick alone is the one I think is a roo ( he’s unofficially named Luey unless we discover he’s a hen lol ) even tho his waddle isn’t as red, he’s about a week younger than the oldest chicks. I think he’s a roo because his tail tookWAY longer to come in as a hatchling, his waddle is pretty red, his neck feathers look skinnier, and I’ve also got a gut feeling
If any of you think he’s a hen, or I might have OTher roosters, definitely tell me! I think sexing chicks is super fun and interesting, and seeing you guess correctly, (or get it terribly wrong ) is fun to see
Pictures have to be sent separately for me, so Suoer early viewer, that’s why they’re not up quite yet
