Okay...here it goes....I just turned 35 about 2 weeks ago and I'm in sorry shape. I'm hoping someone will be my work out buddy in the forum. I usually hit the board at least once a day and I'm thinking that some accoutnability might just be the thing to keep me motivated....mabe even a little friendly competition.
I've already told you that I'm 35, I don't work out regularly (except for mowing, gardening, recreational swimmimg, and rabbit hunting) none of that stuff requires an elevated heart rate for more than a few minutes. Anyway I'm @ least 35lbs over weight and feeling it!
So if anyone wants to join me ....that would be great. !And it would be totally awesome to get a buddy who is also female, around 35, about 35lbs overwieght, that way the support and competition are fair.

BTW I finally got a digital camera for my b-day and we could share before and after photos....to only your personal e-mail of course...I would die if everyone saw my fat *ss.

Any of you up to it?.....Or am I'm gonna get out of this fitness thing one more time?

Wish I lived closer. I'd at least meet you to power walk. Try a reasonable balanced diet plan and walk. You certainly do a lot of physical things already. You might lose the weight just changing your diet... even without extra excercise. Oh and I'm 49 and not in the best shape either. I do know that walking nad a decent low carb/low fat diet helps. Good luck kiddo! Lynn

I'm 42 and know I'm carrying more than I should. Diabetes runs on both sides of the family, so I know I have good odds of incurring it sooner rather than later if I don't shape up. My back's been bothering me a lot lately, though, so I'm moving slower than usual (carried one too many buckets of water to my pet tree).

But I'll do 20 minutes of cardio every day that you do

I need to be spurred as well...

And I have a deep and abiding love of chocolate that I battle against as well

OKAY............LET'S GET IT STARTED...........
I've already screwed eating right for today. I had a peice of boudin in a roll while I was waiting on replies and feverishly typing month end reports. Oh yeah, a pepsi too....yipe! other than that just coffee...
So, tonight I will record my wieght, food intake, and do some kind of heart-rate lifting exercise ; which I will faithfully report tomorrow.
Thanks for getting on board w/me ...I NEED the support.
Chicken people rule.

Yeah. If you're part of a chicken family then you're never alone...

I've been eating poorly already today myself.
But I just did some stretches and got my heart rate up a little. Popped my back in a few places, but not in the middle where I've been getting the spasms.
(Really don't want to pay for the chiropractor but it's been over a year and I know it would help.)

Does homemade lemonade count as bad or good? Can't do fake sugar, but I went easy on the real stuff. Sure did taste good... tart but good... so that makes it bad, right?

Ugh! Me too!

In May, I unexpectedly gained 40 lbs in 2 months!

Doctors are working on why, exactly that happened, but in the mean time, I need to get on the band wagon!

Just learned something new--1 cup of raw rice (which I had for lunch--cooked of course!) is 600+ calories!!!!!!!!!!!

Here I thought I was being healthy....

Sounds like some of you have been reading my mind! I have been carrying around too much weight for far too long. I gained a bunch taking care on my MIL before she passed (she was unable to even roll over in bed or feed herself, much less walk or anything else). But I really have no excuse because she passed TWO years ago

I am committing myself to doubling my exercise program and I WILL watch my diet more. Any support we can give each other, in my opinion, we will all win.

Win...........That's another great idea.
Maybe we could set our goals and whoever reaches theirs first get's a chicken trinket from all that are participating.

Geez do I ever need to lose weight. I'm about 30-ish pounds off of where I need to be. I've still got pregnancy weight and my son is 4 and my daughter is 3 YIKES! It just seems that for some reason, whenever I'm trying to lose weight I'll lose about 5 pounds real quick and then gain it back and go nowhere. I don't think it's coming back as muscle either.

I was doing the Slim Fast thing, but all their products get to be expensive. I've screwed my day of eating well too. I guess what I really need to do is cut out the bad stuff when I'm shopping.......not easy. I'll try and get myself moving around and eating better, so if you want to call it working out together then all the better. I'm 23 by the way so I don't know if I'm quite who you're looking to have partner up with you, but if it helps I feel around 60 lol I'm moving and my scale's packed so I don't know what I weigh right now. Nevertheless, I think this is a good idea! Keep us posted.
