Your d'Uccle and Cemani boys are beautiful!!!
Alohas sound amazing!! What color eggs do they lay?
If only their heads weren't too overinflated to thank you.
Nice tinted creams. They've got an overachiever's output, too; up in the high 300s annually- even if they didn't have the trademark litheness, I'd definitely see the Leghorn heritage.

I need to find some of these....
Not that my coop is full already.... *sigh*
I need a bigger coop.

Oh, I'm in pretty deep myself. Just invested in a 20x14 professional utility shed to convert. In addition to the dozen or so bachelor coops unobtrusively dotting the treelines.

Oh man. I'm not that far in yet... XD
I've got a 11x15ish coop right now for winter and a few chicken tractors for the summer. I could technically have more in the summer... it's fitting them all in the coop in the winter that's the problem.
Maybe if I get some peafowl or guineas I'll have an excuse to build another coop... and we're ignoring the fact that I just got don remodeling the current coop... XD

Going off of normal PA winters, I've been lucky to only have to do it every couple of days so far.
And of course the indignant victims get their kisses. It probably just worsens the demeaning trauma. :gig
I don't think that I've kissed a chicken for months -- don't want any other issues on hand if I get COVID.
The boys are getting relaxed, though, I think... their pride is coming back up a bit. I've had to make up for the lack of kisses by increasing the cuddling. Sadly, I've been falling behind.
Gave Zapraska some good huggles earlier, though. In front of the woodstove. Hugging him in such a way that he was engulfed by hoodie-arms.
Next is Neutrophil... tomorrow....

I've got a little d'Uccle cockerel named Goose. Well, Kramer, my bantam cochin, doesn't like Goose that much. So Kramer chases Goose around. I'm starting to train Goose to fly up on my arm for treats (also so he can eat away from Kramer.) Goose got some quality snuggles this morning too.

Hm, the one picture that I have immediately on hand is the one you didn't ask for. Oh well.

Most of the time, my only picture-taking device is a laptop, so do excuse the atrocious quality.

Alohas aren't a recognized breed, nor are they anywhere near breeding true, but they're a hot backyard project out of the western US.
I started out with them when I confiscated a bunch of birds off of an abandoned property for sale. The two scruffy Sussex mutts were the two that worked enough charm to convince me to hang onto them, and it was only when the hen hatched a clutch behind my back that I came to appreciate how much they looked like the party-speckled phenomena I'd sighted on here a couple times. Whether they originated out of an intentional project line or were nothing more than pretty backyard accidents, they became my official Alohas. :gig
And, now that they've gotten their numbers up over 20, I think it's hilarious just how true their phenotype does breed. I swear, I could write up a standard off the birds I have right now and every future chick would conform nicely. Definitely not like any mutts I've dealt in before.
Only have a picture of one of my girls right now, but I'll remember to snap some of the boys in the daylight sometime.
