I'm going out of town for a week and I've got house sitters to take care of the animals. I'm making a list of what they need to do every day. I don't think they have any experience with chickens. Any tips?
Oh my, I don't think I will ever be able to leave my feathered friends with someone who has no experience.

Hmmm.... Maybe the usual food, water, cleaning of the coop. I'm sure you had that already. You should specify when they should come, and maybe have everything planned for them when they get there. I am not an expert.

Make it as simple as possible, but detailed.
Example: Feed the chickens at this time with this food. Give them clean water once a day. Shut the pop door once it is dark.
Directly to the point.
Remember that they don't know your birds as well as you do.
Had someone sit the chickens for a weekend, and they thought they had to round up all the chickens before bed. I laughed so hard that I cried when I got back and explained to them that chickens will go to bed with the sun. Forgot to put it on the list, because I didn't think about it.
EVERYTHING IS NEW. LEAVE NOTHING OUT.
Tell them what to do if a bird gets out. Remind them that chickens are food motivated. I'd be surprised if a chicken doesn't get out... Again, you might have gotten used to Red trying to jump out of the coop, but they don't know that.
If you've got roos, educate them on what to do and what not to do.
Have them come over before you go and walk them through what they need to do, have the list with you so you can show them what's on it and how to do it.

Yes. I'm not going to have them clean anything!

The last one, well. No one can ever force anyone to do anything. It is physically impossible unless you are supernatural or are Annakin Skywalker. Every human has at least 2 choices. I may bribe you or make it harder for you to choose a choice, but I can NEVER I repeat, NEVER force you to do anything.

Excuse me for my rant.
I personally excuse your rant.
