Same here. I just go in, close the door, collect the eggs if I hadn't yet, and count them. But as far as going to bed, they do that.

Mine don't have closable doors yet, they're just openings in the wall. Planning to install automatic doors once we move into my grandpa's place.

We only had a few incidents over the years, but not any huge losses.

1 by a cat early last spring

3 by a Weasel early summer of last year.

1 by a Skunk recently.
