You should make a thread about your squirrels.
They were 5 or 6 weeks old and still had their eyes closed & the mom had run off. Theres a chance you can reunite them with the mom but its hit or miss. Their nest was destroyed and the two injured ones we had to keep anyway, so we just kept them all. And then we hand raised them, fed them formula through a syringe until they were weaned, played with them, fed them fruit and veggies and nuts when they were older (rodent food pellets & veggies were the bulk of their diet. fruit and even more so nuts are candy). They lived on the kitchen table for awhile in a tall cage that had metal bars as the walls so they could climb to their hearts content. And they would run alllllll over you when you took them out. Eventually they realized they could jump off of you and go explore, so they moved to a much bigger outside (sheltered from rain) enclosure to acclimate and then we released them. We definitely kept them longer than was strictly necessary because we were attached, oops. What about the ones that were not injured? How do you get them to like you? Lol, that is so funny! Did it really happen while you were typing?![]()
