Anyone want to play the sexing chicks game? Please??!! Six 5-6 week old chicks

Well that's what the breeder said, they do have the feathered feet. What do you think they could be? Oh no....im hoping they are brahmas as I already have 3 but have never had chicks before :-S

I would look up dark brahma just judging by the wing color. They can be sexed by what color chest they have at a certain age but I don't know the particulars. The females have all pattered feathers while the males have a black chest with white saddles or something like that. Good Luck

Ahh ok thank you. I googled dark brahma chicks and there were quite a few pictures of chicks with chipmunk markings,but also dark brown/black chicks too. Fingers and toes crossed they are pullets!

Very similar with Reds. At 7 weeks, the cockerels will sprout combs and wattles, the pullets normally do not.

Pullets at 8 weeks. Still nothing much showing



Mostly cockerels in this shot. At 8 weeks, they already are showing both combs and wattles.
