I don't think these people know what real downsizing is... not yet anyway. There are 7 kids, so it's actually a family of 9. But, did you see this rental house? Umm, when you're broke you don't live in a house like that. Smaller, cheaper house is needed here. I wish they'd said how much the rent was, but they just kept mentioning they were short $300. Do they really need a house with an office? My daughter's business office is a corner in the livingroom. Do those boys really need a ping pong table? No, they don't. All the teenagers had cell phones. They are NOT a necessity. I'd want the girls to have one when on dates, but the kids could share an emergency only phone.
The car? Well if the Grands gave the oldest girl a car I certainly wouldn't take it away from her, however, who's paying for gas, maintenance and insurance? And why aren't the older kids working? They have kids that are 17, 16 and 15 year old triplets, not sure on Levi's age. Is he 15 also? That's 6 kids that should at least be doing part-time something. The girls are old enough for regular jobs or at the very least babysitting. The boys could be doing odd jobs mowing and such. I started working at 13, my own kids at 15. They are raising kids who are used to having everything handed to them without having to work. Bad bad idea. This is on every week and it'll be interesting to see if a lightbulb ever goes off over these parents.
