The sooner you vaccinate for Mareks the better (day 1 is best).
As others have said Medicated feed is only for Coccidiosis, and does not help or prevent Mareks.
I got my chicks vaccinated for Mareks and Coccidiosis at the hatchery.
I purchased Newcastles/Bronchitis (combined vaccine) and Fowl Pox vaccine through JeffersLiveStock.com: http://www.jefferslivestock.com/ssc/products.asp?CID=2&mscssid=SMVAXM051NJ49NLNCVXWNEL8K80T6CV6&dept_id=473&area=poultry
They offer a Styrofoam container for a few bucks. It worked great.
On a side note: both of the vaccine containers I purchased say they are good for 1000 doses! If anyone here at BYC lives in Nebraska (Hastings, Clay Center area) and would like some free vaccine doses, I will have at least 800 does of the Newcastles/Bronchitis vaccine available the first week of March, and 800+ doses of the Fowl Pox vaccine available about the 1st week of April. Since the vaccine is only good for a limited amount of time after I reconstitute it, it can't be shipped.
