I'm new to incubating, and I'm looking for some fertile eggs to hatch.
I really don't care what breed. I'm not looking for anything expensive just something to enjoy hatching.
If anyone is in the VA or MD that has some eggs for sale that would be great!
thanks

Have you joined the Pet Chickens of Virginia Site/Forum. A lot of great people, often have eggs and chicks available. Most are spread out all over the sate, but a couple are in the Northern Virgina area. I am in Northern Virgina, but my hens are still young and only one has started laying. i have an EE rooster over several breeds of hens, should start having fertile eggs in a few more weeks. The forum site is http://petchickensofvirginia.com. Hope you find what you are looking for.

I am in Front Royal and have fertile eggs from my americauna(EE) roo in my avatar pic over my red sex link hens. I just hatched out a few so I know they are fertile, and every one I put in the incubator started developing. They will be considered EE's and the pullets should lay green/blue/khaki eggs. I also know a lady close by, in WV, that I am going to go get some eggs from in like 2 weeks, they are a flock mix, $6 a dozen I believe, this is what the lady told me: " You will get some purebred chicks and some crosses in each dozen eggs. We have heritage RIR, Coronation Sussex, Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, Turken or Naked Neck, Wheaten Marans, Black Copper Marans, Ameraucana and Easter Eggers all running together. We are separating our flock this week, so for a few weeks we will be selling these eggs cheap, $6 a dozen, until they are purebred again. Some of the chicks from these eggs will be mixes and some purebred. All are large fowl from good blood lines. "

I know the lady so she will be holding some for me when the times comes for me to be ready. I can pick you up a dozen, and meet you with them somewhere. . . ?

FLITZ: I recommend you contact Soaring Chicks. . . I have 2 Jerseys from her. After the research I have done on the breed, I would suggest them to anyone looking to have a nice yard flock that is very friendly.

Thank you. I have about 40+ Jg chicks now. Plus some JG crossed Olive Eggers. They have the JG size but have muffs and beards. Some are clean faced.
