Anyone with ideas about my 'heartburn'

One of my clients use to have really bad heartburn. Her Naturopath (doesn't like Doctors) told her not to eat after 7 pm, sleep with her head slightly elevated and when she gets a heartburn attack to drink a glass of water and jump up and down.
To her surprise, she said it works.

I would get a second opinion. If you still have this pain your primary doctor should be either sending you to a cardiologist or another gi doctor because sombody is missing something. Look if you had a endoscopy done then it should have showed a hiatal hernia. Protonix for most people does not work you need something stronger like nexium. It's expensive if insurance does not cover it which is why most insurance substitute protonix. I'm a nurse but also have gastric reflux disease but here is the thing. Yes quit your carbonated drinks, most gi docs will tell you that are like rat poison. They eat up the stomach lining. Quit all high carb foods especially before you go to bed, sweets will actually cause gastric reflux. You could still have a gall stone lodged so maybe some more tests are needed to be done to check it out. If that's the case they can either surgically remove it if it's obstructing. Today talk with your primary doctor because something is going on and this could be your heart as well.

i know this sounds weird, and it should not make sense, but it does work. i have raspberry vinegar (not vinegrette) and take a half a shot i glass, about 2 tablespoons and it works immediately. you can actually feel it soothing as is goes down. any vinegar you can stomach works. i like the flavored, it seems to go taste better. i have tried this a lot of friends and people are amazed. it is cheap, very effective, and instant. i'll be interested to see how it works for you.

Simple things.
Rebuilding good gut bacteria and flora with real raw probiotics.
Taking Bile salts.

Awesome! I knew I could count on all you to help me. I am definately going to keep pushing to get answers when my doc gets back in town. For now I am willing to try the vinigar and I was already thinking of going to the health food store and getting some good stomach bacteria. It definately couldn't hurt.

Even better then the vinegar, would be Kombucha. Start slow, and enjoy. Its probiotic and it tastes wonderful.
