Anything extra?

We have free range chickens and we are feeding them the Southern States - All grain - layer and breeder feed. Do I need to give them anything else like oyster shell, scratch grains, etc.?

If it is a layer feed then you don't have to. You still could offer the oyster shell free choice so they have access if they need it.

I add a little Calf Manna in my hens feed. It gives them a little extra protein and calcium. I have never needed to add oyster shells and my egg shell are very hard.
