Salt is bad for them. I'm told avocadoes are bad for them, but see some people feeding it to them.

If you can eat it they can eat it.

Nothing moldy, nothing rotten, and if they are really hungry nothing heavily salted. Otherwise if you can eat it they can eat it.

I've got at least a half-dozen species of plants growing on my property that I know to be toxic. My birds show no interest in them at all. Oddly enough they will eat poison ivy, but then it doesn't affect them like it does me.
