So i had 4 eggs in the bator, 2 japenese bantys and 2 silkies. 1 silkie hatched, and 1 japanese banty hatched. The silkie didnt take 2 hours to hatch, but the banty took a while. now a day later its just laying in the bator and it will ocasionally look up and chirp and sometimes move, but the silkie is up and running around. Anything to be concerned about?

Sometimes they do have a slow start, and rest alot at first.......Truly, just wait and see.....The incubator is a good place for the little chick to rest, and I believe they can stay in there for 1 more day......(or at least until they're nice and fluffy).

When did they hatch, today? They should be left in the incubator for AT LEAST 24 hours. Otherwise they have a tendancy to get chills and get too cold and die. The chicks can go at most three days without food or water. The yolk nurishies them untill it runs out. So, a raw egg, beaten like you would do a to be scrambled egg. You can A. Dribble it around her beak B. Dip her beak in it. Ether way do not, DO NOT pour it down her throat. Unflavored baby electrolites in the main water will help the little weak one and certanly won't hurt the silkie. If she gets hungry mix the chick crumble with the egg so its pasty not soupy and gently open her beak. Scoop a teeny bit on your finger and put it in her mouth. Then close her beak and let her swllow.

Well the silkie hatched about 2 days ago, and the banty hatched yesterday evening. im just concerned because the silkie came out layed around for a while then got up and started walking around, the banty just lays there. im leaving it in the incubator for now, or until it is up and moving around.
