One of my 4 week old chicks has runny poop. It's usually a normal color and doesn't smell but it's runny. This picture is from yesterday. I know which bird it is coming from. She's my biggest of the 5. They have just recently started going outside and they stay out all day but they are not on the ground they stay in a dog crate which is their brooder. I take them to the yard for a few minutes a day. These 5 have been together since they hatched. Checked her over and no mites or anything.

The poop looks normal to me. However it shouldnt be constantly runny. What are you feeding your chicks including the one with the constant runny poop?

I am feeding them all medicated starter chick feed and clean water daily. Every once in a while I give them just a little bit of uncooked oatmeal, just a few pieces out of my hand, which I read was ok, but if it's not I will cut that out. That's it.

Consider stopping the oatmeal and keep an eye on the texture of her feces to see if it firms up after a couple of days. If it doesnt look normal after a couple of days, switch to non medicated chick starter.

Ok I can do that. I just bought a brand new bag of feed but haven't opened it yet thankfully.
