Anything you can use "used" scented parafin wax for??????

I make firestarters by filling a paper egg carton cups with dryer lint and pouring wax over it.

I light the edge of the paper cup and it burns long enough to get the kindling burning. I save bits of candles all year to make firestarters in the fall.

Do you chop up the pine shavings so it's more like sawdust first? I want to repurpose some candles that don't match my decor and this sounds like a good DIY for my local swap club.

Roll pine cones in the parafin and let harden. You mentioned friends and family with fireplaces......tossed in a basket, think resale, garage sale, they make great gifts and are useful and appreciated.
