I think I need to move my incubator—eggs and all—before they actually start hatching. I had the brilliant idea of setting the incubator up in the basement at work because it has much warmer, more consistent temperature than my own home.

Now, though, I'm wondering if it was a bad idea. I recall how loud the chicks can be when they start peeping and hatching and I'm panicking a bit. I'm afraid it will be disruptive.

So, that being said, day 18 is Tuesday, I live two blocks from work, can I pick the whole thing up and just bring it home before I take the eggs out of the turner?

Yes, you can. Remember, that a broody hen gets off the eggs at least once a day during incubation to eat and go potty. It is considered a cooling off period. Just move the incubator today or tomorrow, not after and you will be fine.
