I hatched him out from phoenix eggs I ordered from a breeder off eBay. Unfortunately, 8/10 eggs were rotten on arrival…Victor was the only one that made it (he’s my miracle chicken). As disappointing as the exchange was, it was worth it to have him. . He is such a sweet boy and serious eye candy!

Good eye! The others in my flock are frizzled EE-Silkie mixes (also from eBay eggs and their progeny).

We have rescue parrots, small to large. Even though the parrots are indoors, I was worried about the spread of disease from hatchery chickens…I figured hatching eggs would reduce the risk. Of course, now I have 5 roos and 4 hens , but everyone gets along.

They are all beautiful! I tried to hatch some silkies off of eBay and sadly only 4/12 hatched. I'm assuming all four are going to be boys .

The non APA thread said juveniles were allowed - not sure if that applies here or if there's a minimum age? I couldn't see anywhere more suitable to enter him.

You can enter any picture that has not won an award in a BYC-sponsored contest. However, if you enter this contest with a picture that's already entered in the calendar contest, and the picture entered here wins an award, your calendar contest entry will not qualify.
