Hi all!
I would really like to show my chickens in exhibition shows, but to be honest I don't have any clue where to start. lol
I've been showing them at our local county 4-H fair, but I'd like to show with the APA or the ABA. So..here's my questions. Thank you in advance!

Are there APA 'sanctioned' shows? What about the ABA?

Are 4-H shows APA 'sanctioned'?

Do you have to be a member of the APA to participate in APA shows?

Do you have to be a member of the ABA to participate in ABA shows?

If you are a member of the APA, can you participate in ABA shows, and vice versa?

How can you find out if a show is APA and/or ABA sanctioned?

Thank you so much in advance!

Yes. Usually, APA shows are also ABA sanctioned but sometimes they are only ABA sanctioned so you can only show bantams.
Are 4-H shows APA 'sanctioned'?
Nope. 4-H shows do not require APA licensed judges, and sometimes don't even judge by the SOP.

Nope! You simply have to mail in the entry form.

Nope.

Yep!

Usually, if you go to Poultry Show Central or show info, it will say. Almost every club show is APA and/or ABA sanctioned, and some state fair shows are as well.
It's so exciting to see others interested in the awesome hobby of show poultry.
