Only would work if forums were written in basic. Also you still need a few lines of code to get and read in all the usernames. That would most likely require an array to store them. I actually know java and in java it would probably be 50lines minimum of code just to do something simple like that much less integrate it into forum software. Plus all the time it would take the average computer to run through every post and you'd either have to take down the forum during that time or make a cut off point and run 2 seperate loops so that you first calculate all posts before the cut off point and then quickly calculate new posts made since the cut off point and add that on. Without crashing the forum in the meantime because everyone would still be running around clicking on links.

Not so simple anymore.
