I couldn't find one of my white leghorns yesterday as I fed before going to work. I looked around for a carcass or signs of what may have disappeared her but was in a bit of a rush and just cussed my usual predators, the local Redtail hawks. Feeding again, before work, I found her. She had apparently fallen in the horse trough and drowned...She was a good layer. RIP white hen.
Consider putting a fence around the trough.
