Appenzeller Spitzhauben

I was considering getting some Appenzeller Spitzhauben hens this spring. I have a few questions for those who are familiar with the breed.

Are they good layers?

Are they standard or bantam sized?

Are they pretty laid back?

They are only fair layers. They are standard fowl, but on the small end of the spectrum. If you follow the link to my home page, you can see pictures of mine. Mine are calm enough, but I had to clip their wings to keep them home.
