well, I guess this is the best place to put this....along with a lot of the rest of the country, we are experiencing an extreme cold snap. Although we are on the moderate end, this morning the temp was 15 below zero according to our thermometer, and about 6 to 8 inches of snow. We have had the flock on 1/2 the recommended dose of Aviacharge 2000, since the end of December. We have noticed their appetites seem to be diminishing since we started them on it...especially now, when it seems they should be eating their heads off, as it is so cold, they don't seem to be very hungry, but they are all of good weight and seem cheerful enough, all things considered. So does the Aviacharge suppress their appetites? Last year we used kelp meal (only) and I seem to remember the same thing happening. Aviacharge has kelp meal in it, so maybe this is the reason? Should we worry about their lack of appetite?
