Hi there,

I've currently got a lethargic hen and was wondering can you give her ACV?
Please tell me everything I need to know on putting it in the water?

Hi, what are the other symptoms ? I'm just not sure why you feel that acv is what she needs.

Thanks for the reply, she's lethargic and out of character. She is eating but she's not as perky as she usually is.

Why is she lethargic? What happened? ACV would help with worms etc. You would use Braggs ACV and put three tablespoons per gallon of water for three days. Braggs ACV has "The Mother" which is no filtered and awesome to take.

To boost her energy you could use Rooster Booster which is a B12 Supplement in the water or give her a dose with some plain yogurt which would be also beneficial for her gut.

Acv does not treat worms. Is she eating , laying and pooping? What does her vent look like?

Check her for mites. If she has mites or any biting lice they would make her tired. They suck her blood and that would cause her to be lethargic.

Her vent is bald (from feather picking) and awful red looking she is just standing around even when in good foraging spots.

Yes she is eating, I don't think she is laying, and haven't seen her poop
