Apple cider vinegar

Hi does anyone know the ratio of apple cider vinegar to water as directions for use is so conflicting, I just want to add some to there water as a)A treat and b) for good health. Thanks everyone

The normal stuff doesn't do much of anything, it can actually cause chickens to get dehydrated since they don't like drinking it all the time (would you?) Most people use it as probiotics but you need the vinegar with the mother. I use good yogurt for prebiotic every so often, my chickens love it. Always have a second drinker with plain water if you mix anything in their water.

Apple cider vinegar is a natural dewormer, and I use it a lot if my chickens are showing any signs of worms. Other people may think differently, but I use the cheap kind at Dollar general for my chickens and it works like a charm! Just do what you think is best. Good luck!

Also the ratio for my flock is 1 tablespoon ACV per GALLON of water

Apple cider vinegar is a natural dewormer

It doesn't deworm. It may be very mildly effective as a preventative but it isn't an effective dewormer and I wouldn't count on it's ability to prevent a parasite load any more than I would diatomaceous earth.

What do you use for mites, I need to be prepared I thought diatomaceous earth was for mite.

I don't. They've never had mites.
My birds bathe in dirt and broken down wood chips.
DE isn't going to prevent or treat mites either ...
