I have been reading about adding apple cider vinegar to drinking water. My question is using in in a metal (galvanized) water safe? I know that acids in some metals are not healthy. Looking forward to hearing from more experienced chicken lovers :)

No, it is not safe. The vinegar will leach the zinc from the galvanized metal. The waterer will rust, and the chickens may be poisoned by the excess zinc.
