Appropriate price for Black Copper Maran pair

Hi Folks,

I was curious what a fair price would be for a breeding pair of Black Copper Maran's? The pullet and cockerel will be 5 months old and haven't started laying yet. I appreciate your feedback.

It depends - A LOT. Are they from extremely dark eggs and are their relatives producing extremely dark eggs? Are their siblings and parents uniform to the SOP? Are they unrelated, half or full brother and sister?
If the first two answers are yes and they're unrelated, then maybe they might be worth as much as $100.
If not, they might be worth $25 or less.
I bought hatching eggs of 3 varieties of Marans that were supposed to be from famous lines. Apparently the new breeder paid little attention to egg color in breeding. The eggs I got were no darker than an orpington egg.

I was going to sell trios of Black Penedesencas for $100 but after I did the math and realized it cost me close to that to get them to 6 months and they were top quality I've raised a trio price to $300.
