Ok, I have 14 Welsummer Eggs and 2 EE eggs. I am on day 8 of incubation.

1 EE egg shows progress.

9 Welsummer Eggs show progress

Out of the 5 Welsummer eggs that do not show any progress, when candled I can see a crack in ONE.

Sorry Art... I am not confirming blood rings in your eggs, but if that is what they are.

Bummer.

Okay.....So if a egg has a blood ring, When you crack it open will there be a embryo inside or will it be empty or both? I cracked out 6-7 of what I thought were eggs with blood rings and 3 were empty and 4 were not.

What did you find in the non empty ones....I am not gonna crack my blood ring one, just gonna toss it.....You are a better person than me, LOL

Only one looked like a little chick with a very large eye and the other ones just seemed like a mass or a blob. No movement. I am not very easily grossed out. Besides, its all so scientific. Not to mention a learning experience. i am sure I will continue to make mistakes due to my lack of knowledge and patiance. I think I am down to 18-19 eggs.

Well I definitely see veins in mine. I numbered all eggs. 1-9 for my mutts, and 1-16 for my marans. I couldnt see in the marans really well.

But im not sure if i have blood rings either.

Here are some pics.

I think something is wrong with my eggs. Wheber you guys post pics of your eggs progressing, Mine look nothing like them. When I do have a egg with something inside or a eye, Its NEVER in the center of the egg. Its always at the fat end of the egg. Are they sticking or something? You see how your eggs have a clear embryo in the center? This is all mine.....

your air cell looks good in the 1st pic, that 2nd one is hard to see.

I'm not sure what you are seeing. Its hard to tell from a picture if its "stuck" or not.

I know mine are floating around, but i only have good air cells in a couple eggs.

Here is the egg candling forum if you havent seen it. Maybe this will help.
