April 1st. setting.. *hatching*| need a buddy.

I still only have 4 chicks. No pipping on the remaining 7 eggs. We're on day 23. I *thought* one of the remaining eggs was moving yesterday. I suppose this afternoon I will candle to see what is going on. Here are my 4 chickies in the brooder. 3 welsummer & 1 EE

You were right about "stepping away". 3 of them hatched!!!! Of the 4 eggs that were left, 3 of them were "shrink-wrapped", I think is the phrase I've seen used on here, I feel so bad, as I'm sure that was due to me checking them. And I can't tell why the 4th didn't make it, other than is it possible for them to get TOO big to pip? He looked really big, but the membranes looked right, he just never pipped. It's so heart-breaking! Thanks for the advice!
