Sorry for the late update but a lot of things going on. 9 Eggs went into lock down and all hatched with the Brinsea Maxi 24.

Happy I was able to identify all non-fertile eggs including a blue egg from our Easter Egger (had 1 fertile egg and 1 non-fertile egg from her).

oops- is there a new thread for April 2025?

I set 12 today in a cheap incubator that i used with success over 3 years ago. Couldn't resist doing an experiment with some BEAUTIFUL store eggs I found yesterday. 4 are dark brown in varied shades, and 8 are blue-green and olive. Organic, Free-Range Heirloom breeds, and shells look good, except ALL are opaque and candling light does not go thru - so day 8 candling may not yield solid info on any development. Appreciate any magic tip on how to candle very dark or layered color eggs. Possible none may develop - but u can't resist telling people what I'm doing anyway! I'm going to the Oregon coast the few days before lockdown, to be sure i get good sleep.
