I think my March baby, a EE, laid her first egg today it's such a pretty blue. I'll take a picture

I would love to see a pretty blue egg! I think if I add more to my flock I'm going to do EE.

Do they do well with other breeds? I have mix match of breeds. I love them all but I really love my sapphire gem. She's my shadow. Lol. Awwww it's so pretty

I also have a mixed flock with bantams as well and the oldest ee June is the best with everyone, she is super chill. The other two are still spunky pullets but they are pretty good and don't pick on my silkie

Yes! Our original 5 were hatched in late April, too. We brought them home from the local feed store on the 29th. A couple of them have definitely reddened up recently. I don't have current pictures atm.

I was going to start this thread- but you did! My April chicks hatched on the 4th of April.
Here is Rusty she is a NN/EE. Her dad was the NN. I saw her in the nest box.

Her first egg is the little blue egg. Others to compare size. 20 weeks, my other NN laid pretty early too.

I have 10 (2 someone else is going to pick up at some point but they are still here right now) that were hatched April 13th o rso. my Blue Rock laid at 17 weeks 3 days on 8/13, My EE laid a beautiful teal egg at 18 weeks 3 days on 8/20, and my OE laid a dark brown egg at 19 weeks on 8/24. My other blue Rock has been squatting for 2 weeks now and has a pretty red comb and wattles but they aren't as big as my other blue rock.. one of my buttercups comb and wattles are really red as well. The rest don't look quite ready yet. Well the other EE may be getting close as well.

I can't be sure, but I got 2 little eggs in my nests yesterday so I think that there are 2 of the Easter babies having their first eggs.
