I have been wanting some but since we don't have them I said I wouldn't "buy" another breed until my dh gets caught up on building my new breeding barn..so didn't break my promise-didn't buy them

Well I hope you wanted Red Sussex cause thats all I have laying right now.....
I got some awesome Dark Campbell duck eggs from my partner. I just love them, they will go in the incubator tomorrow. Thank you. (Matt was hoping they were turkey eggs)

Oh, but the duckies are so much cuter! And those Campbells are egg-laying MACHINES!
I'll be talking to the guy I got my turkey eggs from again in a few weeks, so I'll have to see what he has then. I was supposed to get twice as many as I got, but one of the turkeys went broody and claimed my eggs before I got there!
Still no eggs here.
I'm beginning to get a sneaking suspicion of who I was matched up with...if I'm right, it will be very ironic!
Morning all.....had to take a second to BRAG (yes, BRAG) on my March Egg Swap partner.
First, he had to wait for me to return from a 2 week trip out of the country before sending me any eggs....MANY THANKS!
Secondly, I received 15 eggs from him in wonderful condition. 9 buff orp, 3 RIR and 3 Ameracauna....well, noon today starts day 21. EVERY ONE of the 15 eggs made it to lockdown (shipped eggs mind you).....as of right now I have 2 pipped!
Just wanted to send a shout out to THREEBOYSCHICKS as I have NEVER had shipped eggs perform like his (and his sons). Whatever they are doing, they should be extremely proud and whomever receives eggs from them you can be assured that you are receiving eggs that have been handled with the utmost in care.
I think too many times we "talk about" the bad hatches we've all had from shipped eggs, clear eggs, low hatch rates, etc. Just wanted to share a positive story with all of you this AM
Hope everyone has a GREAT day!!
Scott
PS - could do the April swap (bator was full....and I mean full, 165 eggs) but "I'll be back"
