Okay, call me the sour grapes. I played along, chuckling over the latest invention. Then I started seeing how many people were new and really buying into a chance to earn some extra money in these tough times. That made me sad, to think that so many hopes had been raised, only to be dashed.

My honest opinion is that because of the folks who had such hopes, the prank this year lacked sensitivity and was in poor taste.

But then again, I'm a realist.

For those who keep joining in? It's an April Fools Day joke.

Yeah, she's pipped all right. As you can see, she is next in line to hatch. I always insist that my chicks hatch out in order.....

LOL I have been here for what glances at profile 3 years give or take some and I believed the little story our creative and mischievous staff posted for us...
Thankfully our flock is too small to take part in "The Program" and I was not over interested.

I am passionately an advocate for the buy local movement which is why this really seemed a great idea and fell for it but did wonder how it would fly since it didn't seem to consider the legalities and the huge organizational aspect of it. The cost of $2.97 a dz and .08 to BYC just didn't seem to be enough to fund it! Too bad, maybe someday. I always forget April 1st is a joke day.
